Speech coaching. Children up to 18 years. LAMDA speaking of verse and prose
tutoring / examinations. (The largest speech and drama board in the UK.) Aim
to * improve standards of communication through the spoken word * foster an
appreciation of literature and drama * acknowledge levels of achievement * provide
a framework in which individual talent can grow * support the creative, intellectual
and social development of the individual as a whole. LAMDA examinations are
QCA Accredited and the results are included in the UCAS tariff for entry to
higher education. Lessons take place on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

The Mark Jermin Stage School offers its students the opportunity to participate
in GCSE drama examinations. This is a one year course (as opposed to the usual
two year state school option.) The minimum age for students is 12-13 years.
The Stage School boasts some amazing and excellent GCSE results - 100% pass
rate with students from the School gaining the highest performance and written
marks.

The Opera School Wales holds 4-week-long residential courses, including vocal
tuition, stagecraft, TIE skills and rehearsal and study of a complete opera.
Courses culminate in a fully staged, professional tour of the opera to several
venues in Wales and England, as well as practical experience of delivering TIE
workshops in local schools. The Opera School Wales also acts as the educational
resource for Swansea City Opera, a mid-scale touring Opera Company, which can
provide employment opportunities for particularly gifted students in Chorus,
Understudy and TIE work, as well as in principal roles on the company's smaller
tours. The Opera School Wales also offers Celebrity Opera Masterclasses and
Opera Experience Days at the Adelina Patti Theatre. Full details of all courses

into the historical and cultural origins of various forms of theatre? Would
you like to be able to combine study with your work and / or family commitments?
If yes, then the BA (Hons) Theatre Studies by distance learning at Rose Bruford
College could be for you. The programme is modular and can be studied for interest
only or you may accumulate credit for the purpose of gaining a Certificate,
Diploma, BA Degree or BA (Hons) Degree. No formal entry requirements. The College
