Counterpoint is an established Performing Arts School which for the last 10 years+ has offered students Musical Theatre classes - a training in Jazz, Tap, Modern, Singing and Acting. These classes culminate in an annual showcase and a musical production, in addition to the ballet production. More recently we have introduced adults classes for beginners in Ballet, Jazz and Tap.

We are a Youth Amateur Operatic Society which stages two shows a year. The children in the group are aged 5 to 18 years old. We rehearse twice weekly on a Sunday afternoon and on one other weekday evening. Our previous productions include - Wizard of Oz, Bugsy Malone, Gel, Scrooge and Guys and Dolls.

The Players are an amateur group, which performs in the community of Gorseinon. Our membership ranges from age 6 to adult. We perform one main production each year at Penyrheol Theatre, as well as producing smaller fundraising concerts both for ourselves and other causes. Rehearsals are each Tuesday, although additional rehearsals are called when nearing a production.

The main focus of the group is to bring the West End shows to the people of Neath with a high standard of professionalism. We have a very active junior section (The Young Generation.) Members from this group are also used in the senior production as well as performing their own show each year.

Merlin stages two main productions each year - a play and a musical. Members are trained in all aspects of theatre arts. Original work is encouraged. Merlin has a team of professional tutors who encourage students of all skill levels to join this successful group. Classes are held every Sunday.

The Society stages an annual music production at the Taliesin Arts Centre during May of each year. Rehearsals commence in December and are held at Loughor Rugby Club on Monday evenings. We are a very sociable society and new members, whether playing or non-playing, are very welcome. Over 16's only.

Music, Drama and light entertainment. We aim to stage a pantomime annually plus one or two Revue/Cabaret/Old Time Music Hall style evenings during the year which sometimes include a one-act play. We meet/rehearse every Wednesday evening at the Pontlliw Village Hall (1 mile from Junction 47). New members, both on-stage and backstage, always welcome. We also have a selection of backdrops and props which we make available to other small societies at a nominal fee. "Pontlliw Players" is the entertainment section of the Pontlliw Village Hall, a registered charity.
