Trained with the Pilates Institute London. Pilates dance based exercises have been used by dancers for years; it is particularly useful for injury rehabilitation. The dancer works around the injury while maintaining other joint flexibility and strength. The benefits are extreme; the dancers body is their tool and must be kept in top condition so taking lengthy time out for say a hamstring to heal could mean a long time re-training to regain strength - Pilates allows strength and flexibility to be maintained thus drastically reducing re-training time. Pilates is great for everyone as it works on strengthening all our posture muscles creating strong, lean muscles that work pain-free.

Belly Dance is a tremendously enjoyable way of keeping fit. It is the total workout for the mind, body and spirit. Not only does it provide a thorough non-impact and calorie burning exercise that tones and sculpts your muscles, it actually promotes a positive attitude about your body, improves posture, co-ordination and self-confidence. You do not have to be young and slim to begin belly dancing. Dancers come in all shapes, sizes and ages. I am a trained, experienced teacher and can offer beginners, improvers and intermediate levels of dance. Also, interested students can choose to join our performance group Zahirah. Social events for students include workshops with other teachers, parties, perfomance opportunities and trips to belly dance events. Join us and have fun.
